The Home Of Duke & Dutch!
All we ever had in the home for pets when I was young were little dogs. I just knew when I left home and had a pet of my own it would be the largest, most ferocious beast I could find. Well I left home and never even thought of a pet until about five years ago. Now as I thought about this pet, all I could think of was how big would it be? You know, would it be the size of a small horse, or maybe just a rather tiny mountan lion. My next step would be to convince Joyce, that this was just what we needed. I mean after all, I'm away from home a lot in the evenings and she could use a big dog to protect her! Well, this was not going to be as easy of a job as I would have liked, but when I set out to get things done I get them done, After all I am the owner of not one, but two such monsterly beast's at this time. Now it was time to put my plan into action, so I went about it in a very clever way, or at lest I thought it was clever! I borrowed a friend's dog and brought it home. she was a little bit smaller than I had hoped for but she was pretty loud, and she had to be the most hideous looking dog I had ever seen. The first thing she did when I brought her home, (other than scare Joyce to death) was relieve her self in the middle of our new carpet. If this were scatch and sniff you could see just how well this beast went over!! Any way to make a long story short, I finally got my monster dogs when I let Joyce do the picking. I think she did ok with her pick of dogs, I mean they are good animals and I think of them as if they were my kids. After all, the most importante part of picking a guard dog is giving him a tough sounding name. So I did get to help a little, I agreed to the name Duke. That's right, I agreed to the name, I didn't even get to name my beast!!

Boy do they look tough!
